Since April 2024, the Resilient Energy Economies Initiative (REE) has worked to provide US policymakers with the research, information, and new thinking they need to facilitate resilient local economies in communities moving away from economic dependence on fossil fuel infrastructure. As REE announces its second round of research funding, RFF Fellow Daniel Raimi discusses the core tenets of the initiative and why this work matters to a changing US economy.
