Yesterday, US President Joe Biden and Chinese President Xi Jinping met in Bali to discuss issues such as climate change, human rights, and trade. Thousands of miles away in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, COP27 rolls into its second week, and Chinese climate policy is in the spotlight. Mun Ho, a visiting fellow at Resources for the Future and an expert on Chinese energy use and environmental policy, shares his thoughts about China’s approach to climate negotiations at COP27 and China’s climate agenda going forward.
